Local author Robert Edgerly was born at the Telfair Infirmary for Women in Savannah, where he was raised and has lived most of his life. After working for a number of years as a tow boat captain in New Orleans, Robert returned home in 1989 to launch river boat cruises on the Savannah River. He later worked at the Roundhouse Railroad Museum before founding See Savannah walking tours in 1997, which includes the very popular *original* Hauntings Tour.
